Hotspur Recruitment is proud to be working with our partner who has just secured the contract to fit EV chargers in all Premier Inn hotels across the UK.
The role
· Provide new installation of duct / micro duct, chambers and cabinets and reinstate.
· Reinstate up to an EV pad
· Clear blockages in the highway and reinstate to industry standard.
· Be competent in the use of Stihl Saws / Wacker plates/trench compactor/mini digger/jackhammer and hold the correct certification to complete the works.
· Complete appropriate paperwork for your daily works on job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets and or van sheets
· To have a good understanding of plans and drawings and be able to review and understand work instructions prior to any work commencement
· Completion of risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities
· Be responsible for the company assets and plant assigned to you for the purpose of performing your duties.
· Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures
The Candidate.
· Will be self-motivated, and able to motivate others through effective communication and example
· Have a willingness to learn
· Be confident to teach best practise to colleagues
· Good awareness of Health & Safety and company policies. (Essential)
· Full UK driving Licence to include category BE (Vehicle + Trailer)
Preferred Qualifications
· NRSWA Street works Operative.
· Unit 1 – Location of Underground Apparatus
· Unit 2 – Signing, Lighting & Guarding
· Unit 3 – Excavation in the Highways
· Then Preferable – Units 4 to Unit 9
· Trailer license preferable
· All relevant CPCS cards to complete works.
· Trained & compliant in the use of underground cable avoidance tools (Cat. & Genny)
· H & S trained would be advantageous.
· Experience with Ducting Installations Preferable and knowledge of underground utilities
· 360 Mini Digger / Excavator Trained Preferable
The Salary
· There will be a salary of £340.00 per day for a team of team of 2 (i.e £170 per day each)
· The client will accept individual applications or applications from an existing 2 person team
· Working away is highly likely and costs of accommodation will be covered (excluding food)
· Vehicles and Plant provided (but not hand tools)
